1. What is Sowell® Therapy?
Sowell® Therapy is a unique healing approach that uses soft support pillows to gently align the body and release tension. Developed in Japan, it focuses on creating comfort and balance in both body and mind. It can be used alone or combined with massage, acupuncture, stretching, and other therapies.

Enjoy a full-day private experience in a traditional Japanese kominka.
• 10:00–12:00 — Mugwort steam (Yomogi steam)
• 12:00–14:00 — Homemade countryside lunch
• 14:00–16:00 — Sowell®︎ Relaxation therapy
• Until 17:00 — Free time to rest, walk, or journal

Planning a visit to Akizuki Iyashi no Mori?
Here’s how to get here from Hakata Station, Fukuoka:
1. Take the JR Kagoshima Line to **Kiyama Station**.
2. Transfer to the **Amagi Railway** and enjoy a peaceful ride through rice fields.
3. Get off at **Amagi Station**.
From Amagi Station, you can take a sightseeing bus to **Akizuki Castle Ruins**,
or I can pick you up by car — either from Amagi Station or the castle area.

Seiichiro Ooi
Founder of Sowell®︎ / Licensed Judo Therapist
Born in 1962, Hita City, Oita Prefecture, Japan
At 18, he began training in traditional Japanese therapy, living and apprenticing at a bone-setting clinic while attending a Judo therapy school in Osaka.
He worked in rehabilitation clinics and orthopedic physical therapy centers, and at 24, opened his first clinic in Hita.
Later, he expanded to Fukuoka, opening multiple clinics including home visit massage services and wellness spaces near Hakata Station.
In addition to Judo therapy, he offered Thai massage, mugwort steam therapy (Yomogi steam), and even ran a Thai curry shop above his clinic.
At 55, he retired from city life and moved to Akizuki, a peaceful countryside town in Fukuoka, where he founded Akizuki Iyashi no Mori — a healing retreat blending tradition, environment, and his original technique: Sowell®︎ therapy.
